Just a few details to remember … In store purchases cannot be returned to our online returns center. If you bought it in store, it must be returned in store to the location of your choice. All returns are subject to verification before a decision is made to offer a refund or replacement.
All in store returns require your receipt or packing slip as proof of purchase.
Defective Returns: We make every effort to ensure all the items we sell are top quality and in perfect condition. On the off chance you received a defective or damaged item, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Reach out to your local GameStop location within 30 days and we’ll assist with processing your return or exchange.
Remember, for a return or exchange, you must bring a proof of purchase. For an online order that is the packing slip, if it was an in store purchase you need a Copy of your receipt
Please remember for an exchange the item must be in original packaging with manuals, cables accessories, peripherals & everything that originally came with it.
Pretty obvious but any item you want to exchange cannot have physical damage. I’m sure you understand, you can’t rage throw a controller, or play frisbee with a game and call it defective. It must be in the same condition it was when you received it.
Your item will be replaced with a like-for-like item upon return. After 30 days, Terms and conditions of the manufacturer's warranty applies.
Change of Mind Returns: So, you get your product home and realize you had a change of heart on your purchase… We know the feeling; we’ve all been there. Don’t worry. Just contact us within the 30 day window. And make sure the item remains sealed and unopen. We will assist you with a return or exchange.
Of course, we aim to provide hassle free returns and like with everything, there are some rules.
As much as we may want to, We can not accept returns of:
- Any item returned more than 30 days from the date on the packing slip.
- Any item that has been opened and/or used.
- Any item not in its original condition.
- Any product that has been beaten up, damaged, played, or is missing parts.
- Any items that were sold as part of a bundle, unless the entire bundle is returned.
Digital items, PC games and Trading cards
We know you get it, and its only makes sense that one-time use codes provided with PC games and DLC are not refundable/exchangeable or returnable. Just to be super clear all DLC and PC game purchases are final sale.
We would like to strongly recommend that you take the time to check the specifications of your PC prior to the purchase of PC games. We cannot exchange or refund non-faulty PC games once opened. If your PC does not meet the requirements of a PC game, the game is not deemed faulty.
Downloadable codes (DLC) cannot be exchanged and are non-refundable. Make sure you double check that you’re buying the right item.
DLC codes purchased from GameStop Canada will only work on Canadian accounts. Please check carefully that the code you are purchasing can be used on your device and redeemed to your account prior to purchase.
